Jazz In New Concerto

The Australian composer. Malcolm Williamson, has given jazz idioms a vital share in his Third Piano Concerto, which was given its British premiere last month by the Halle Orchestra with the composer as soloist. “The Times” described it as a vivid and exciting work with ideas, good in themselves, brilliantly developed and forcefully projected.
