GRANT FROM GOVT.
New Teachers’ College (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) said today that the Government had approved a grant to enable a tender to be accepted for the new teachers’ college at Karori. The college will provide facilities for between 450 and 500 student teachers. “However, the developments in the training of teachers—particularly the introduction of three-year teacher training—will mean that Karori College will have to expand in the very near future,” he said.
