Railway Garden Competition
For the second year in succession the Belfast railway station won the L. B. Hart Cup for the best station garden in the Canterbury district. Mr J. C. Fraser, who judged the competition with Mr E. W. Rodgers, said yesterday that the general standard of railway gardens was high, but it could be improved if shrubs were used more. Placings were: Belfast 1, Heathcote 2, Riccarton 3.
