Premiums on new life and annuity proposals written in 1965 by the Norwich Union Life Insurance Society on a whole world-wide basis reached the figure of £12.5m carrying sums insured equivalent to £3osm. Announcing this, Mr P. E. Webb, manager for New Zealand of the society, said that the whole world funds of the society now stand at £36om. The New Zealand new business also achieved record figures with new sums insured exceeding £l3m, representing an increase of 23 per cent on 1964.
