| FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A large anti-cyclone centred near the Chatham Islands covers New Zealand. Forecast : Canterbury.—Moderate to fresh northeasterlies near the coast, otherwise light, I variable winds; morning cloud areas but otherwise fine and warm. Marlborough and Nelson,—Moderate northerly winds; fine and warm. Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate variable winds; areas of fog and low cloud at first but becoming fine and warm.
