THEORY RESULTS

Accordionists’ Examination

Nineteen accordionists sat the first theory examination conducted for this instrument in Christchurch. The examination was conducted under the auspices of the New Zealand Federation of Accordionists. The examining body was the British College of Accordionists in London.

The grades are equivalent to those set by governing boards for the piano and other instruments. Ninety marks and higher constitutes a pass with distinction; 80 and above, merit; and 70 qualified as a pass.
