Although he finished only second, the New Zealand pacer Tactile made a good showing in the First Free-For-All at Harold Park tonight. Tactile (8/1) was beaten by six yards by Golden Rule, with Snip Star half a head away third. Jacobite, another New Zealand Inter-Dominion contender, had a hampered run and finished third last.
