SPASTIC STUDENT
School Cert. Success (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. A spastic student who sat his School Certificate by typing his answers with one finger was among the list of those who passed. He is George Theobald, of 70 Hinemoa street, Hamilton, a pupil at Fairfield College, Hamilton. He had only half an hour extra for each paper, and in the geography examination had to struggle with a pen for maps so that he was able to answer only three of the seven questions in the time available. Even so, he gained 34 marks. His other marks were: English 59, Biology 56. French 47 and Mathematics 53. He will return to college this year to sit for his University Entrance.
