WELLINGTON, Jan .21. A Government-appointed committee of inquiry into the transportation of fresh fruit and vegetables will hold a preliminary hearing in Wellington on February 1. Announcing this today, a spokesman for the committee said that other hearings would probably follow at Alexandra on February 5 and the next week in Dunedin and Christchurch. The week of February 21 would be spent around Hastings and the next week in Auckland.
