SMUGGLING HEROIN
Six Men Face Charges Z.V.Z.P.X -Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, Jan. 6. Six men, two of them Frenchmen and one an American living in France, have been indicted in a Federal court on charges of smuggling heroin worth 100 million dollars into the United States. The American Government claimed yesterday that the heroin had been shipped from France in November in a food freezer. The shipment weighed 2091 b. It was described by an attorney, Mr Robert Morgenthau, as the largest single seizure of heroin in the United States.
