ARMS FOR CHINA
Bonn Refuses Licences (NZ. P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) BONN, January 5. The West German Government has denied it had any connexion with the arms dealer, Mr Hans Joachim Seidenschnur, and said it would refuse export licences for him to ship arms to China. A Government statement I said Mr Seidensehnur, of [Munich, had recently visited [several Asian countries to conclude arms deals. It de[nied a claim by the dealer [that he was acting im agreement with the Bonn minis- [ tries concerned. An associate of Mr Seidenschnur’s said that they hoped to close deals worth about £35 million dollars in ! the next four to six weeks for [the sale of aircraft, rescue boats, lorries, and road building equipment.
