Cup Winner From N.Z.
If any late stimulus to Australian interest in the national yearling sales was needed it was supplied in Adelaide last week when the Wai-kato-bred Bright Blend won the £lO,OOO Port Adelaide Cup. Bright Blend is a six-year-old by the champion Summertime from Bririante, by Fair’s Fair from Good Company by Foxbridge from Arawa Rose. He was bred at Te Awamutu by Mr G. A. Pollard and is trained by Colin Hayes for Mr Wyndham Hill-Smith.
