(N.Z. Press Association i HAMILTON. The Auckland entrants, O. j Sarapu, and the defending ’titleholder, J. R. Phillips, are ’still the leaders after the ninth round of the New Zealand ehess championships being held in Hamilton. Sarapu has eight points and Phillips eight. Both A. Feneridis (Wellington) and R. J. Sutton have paints. Results:
Championship. Feneridis , (Wellington) beat J. Arbuth natt (Tauranga): Sutton (Auckland) beat G. G. Haase (Dunedin; Phillips drew with Sarapu: R. A. Court (Wellington) beat R. Metge (Auckland): B. R. Anderson (Christchurch) beat A. L. Wilkinson (Christchurch); L. E. Whitehouse (Hamilton) beat Z. Frankel (Wellington).
