Wins Fortune On Pools
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, January 5. A 62-year-old baker yesterday learned that he had won an estimated £275,000 fortune with a 2s fid football pool entry. Pool officials took Mr Frank Wall, of London, and his wife to a secret hide-out while a check was made to determine whether he was the only first dividend winner in the forecast of last Saturday’s matches. So far, no other all-correct forecast has been found.
