Carpenter Fancied In Wyndham Cup

INVERCARGILL. Carpenter, runner-up to Solicitor in the Dunedin Jockey Club Handicap earlier in the week, is expected to win the Wyndham Cup, main event and first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Wyndham Racing Club's New Year’s Day meeting at Invercargill tomorrow.

The second leg will be on the President’s Handicap for which Middy and Warfare will be the favourites. The weather improved late yesterday afternoon after heavy hail and rain in the morning.
