The Prime Minister, Mr Lester Pearson, announced last night Canada would provide 15 million dollars worth of food to India. The Prime Minister said shipments would be made “as rapidly as transportation can be made.”
The food will be in addition to the 10 million dollars worth of Canadian wheat shipped to India under the 1965-66 food aid programme. The food trill include food grains, edible oils and powdered milk.
