The bad weather of the last three days gave way to bright sunshine for the annual meeting of the Reefton Trotting Club yesterday. The track, although a little dead, provided good footing.

; Guyfa, which had shown i promise with a fast late run at Westport on Tuesday, finished strongly to win the Forsyth and Masters Centennial Handicap, after the favourite, Shadydale, seemed the winner halfway down the straight. Guyfa won by a halflength from Shadydale with a neck to Thunderina. Under extreme pressure and ia vigorous drive down the straight, Le Whip held on to beat the favourite, Sonny Jim, by a short head in the F. W. Archer Handicap and with Guyfa paid a T.A.B. double dividend of £llB 16s for £1 The on-course double combination of Roval Court and Unreal paid a dividend of £129 3s 6d for £l.
