Crime And Punishment In West Java
(N Z P A -Reuter —Copyright) DJAKARTA, Dec. 29. Police in Bandung city in West Java meted out unique punishment to 30 merchants accused of charging high prices for their goods. They shaved the offenders’
heads and made them parade in town with placards slung around their necks, Antara reported today. The chief of police, Commissioner E. G. Lumy, said the punishment was given to the merchants before their trial.
