The New Year
Sir, —I invite citizens and holiday visitors to join in a hearty “Auld Lang Syne” greeting to 1966 on New Year’s Eve at my illuminated “Garden of Goodwill,” 70 Selwyn street. For the last 10 years it has been a joyful family gathering, when old and young alike remain out of bed to see the old year out and the new year in. There will be open-air movies, and bright music. My former show business travel pictures and war trophies may be viewed in the theatrette, and animated toys from Japan. A happy new year to you, sir, and to city and country readers of “The Press.”—Yours, etc., REG H. STILLWELL. December 29, 1965.
