Police Seek Witnesses
The police are seeking witnesses of a road accident on December 10 in which Minnie Agnes Whitcombe, aged 77, of Fitzgerald House, Stanmore road, was hit by a car in Barbadoes street. Miss Whitcombe has had a relapse, and is now on the seriously ill list at the Christchurch Hospital. The accident happened about 1.50 p.m. at the intersection of Barbadoes and Armagh streets. The driver of the car stopped and gave assistance until an ambulance arrived.
Any person who saw the accident is asked to get in touch with the motor accident inquiry office at the Christchurch Central Police Station immediately.
