LETTER TO P.M.
Nothing Found
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 27. Police so far have uncovered nothing in their investigations into a threatening letter received by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake). The letter, “from a few Rhodesians with love,” told the Prime Minister: “I have a bullet with your name on it.” The letter arrived in his office on October 15, shortly before Rhodesian Prime Minister Mr lan Smith, made his unilateral declaration of independence. Mr Holyoake did not announce that he had received the letter until Christmas Eve.
Detective Senior Sergeant R. L. N. Lark said tonight that there were no new developments in police inquiries.
