WELLINGTON, Dec. 26.
On Christmas Eve the record C.0.R.5.0. total of voluntary contributions from New Zealanders to the 1965 “Freedom from Hunger” campaign was only £1172 short of £350,000. “With five days to go before the end of the financial year, we could top £350,000 before the year is out,” said the Rev. J. G. Dunn, C.0.R.5.0.’s national chairman. Mr Dunn said 1965 had been a year of giving unprecedented in C.0.R.5.0.'s history.
