(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 26. Auckland City Council shorthand - typists showed some leg at the Town Hall Christmas party on Thursday afternoon. Eight of them performed a can-can on the Town Hall stage bef ore an audience of hundreds of council employees and councillors. “We decided to liven up the party,” said one. “It was too starchy and formal before. This seemed the best way to do it.” The rest of the staff obviously agreed—they would not let the girls go without several encores.
