AUCKLAND.
Five ears which will compete in the New Zealand grand prix at Pukekohe on January 8 will arrive in Auckland by ship and aircraft between today and January 5.
A Ford Mustang, to be driven in the saloon car race by the Australian, lan Geoghegan, is due tomorrow on the freighter Waiwera from Brisbane. A 1.5 litre Lotus 32, which will be driven by his brother. Leo Geoghegan, will arrive at Auckland international airport on Wednesday in a Qantas Boeing 707. The aircraft, type 338 c, is a larger version of the Boeing 707 used in the normal service and is a cargo convertible.
The David McKay Scuderia Veloce cars, a 2.5 Brabham single-seater and a Ferrari 250LM sports car, to be driven by the Australian driver. Spencer Martin, are due in Auckland in the Ellinis on January 5 from Sydney. An Alec-Milden prepared Brabham, powered by a Maserati engine, is believed to be arriving in either the Waiwera or the Ellinis. The car will be driven by Frank Gardner. A 8.R.M., an addition to the B.R.M. team of Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart, is expected in Auckland on the Tasmania Star on January 7 from Britain. To be driven by Richard Attwood in southern races in the New Zealand circuit, the B.R.M. will be a standby at | the Pukekohe meeting.
