“The Knack” Best Film
A British film, “The Knack,” directed by Richard Lester, is named as the best film for 1965 by "Films and Filming.” Other honours include: Best male performance, Oscar Werner in Stanley Kramer's “Ship of Fools;” best female performance, Lila Kedrova in Michael Cacoyanni’s “Zorba the Greek;" best direction, Bo Widerberg for the Swedish film “Raven’s End;” best original screenplay. Woody Allen for Clive Donner’s "What’s New Pussycat’” The tnteraatienal film magazine says: “We are particularly pieaaed to note the overall Quality this year of British Sl.’yii. -SSIfS talent which does Mt always have the_financial support ft deserves.
