Port Freighters Takes Over Empire Express

Port Freighters, a Christchurch transport organisation, has boufrfit for cash the whole of the share capital in the 63-year-oid Empire Express Company. This was announced by the managing director of Port Freighters (Mr J. Vryenhoek). The fleets of both companies would be amalgamated this week-end and the Empire Express staff would be absorbed by Port Freighters, he said.
