Mr D. H. Lawrence has been appointed chairman of the Christchurch subcentre of the St John Ambulance Association for one year. Formerly deputy-chairman, he succeeds Mr J. H. Skinner, who is now president after three years as chairman. Dr. C. J. J. Morkane, a vice-presi-dent of the sub-centre for several years, has been appointed the new deputychairman.
