McGlinchy Has Top Score The first round of games in a series of one-day matches for the P. V. Bailey Memorial Cup were held by the Ellesmere subassociation on Saturday. The highest score was by T. McGlinchy (Lincoln), who made 65 not out, and completed a useful double by taking three for 37 against Loeston. IrwoU 185/6 (G. Doak 48. L. Miller St. J. Coe 31 not out. J. Templeton 29) boat Weedons 165 (P. Aitken 58, C. Tilson 55; J. Lay 3/46, D. UU 4/25. Doak 3/31). Lincoln 158/3 (T. McGlinchy 65 not out. B. Kerr 50, S. Quirk 20 not out) beat Leeston 147 (M. Chamberlain 55 not out, R. Taylor 23: M. Page 3/22, McGlinchy 3/27). M Dunsandel 148/7 (A. Brown 20. A. Grayburn 36, C. Wilson 42 not out; G. Mcllraith 5/52) beat Southbridge 122 (R. Heslop 49; Wilson 3/24. Grayburn 3/18. M. Frampton 3/27).
