K. Pyatt Hits 103 Not Out
A magnificent thlrdwlcket partnership between K. Pyatt and K. Wilkinson tor St. Albans 11, demorsllsed St. Albans I when the teams met In Saturday's women's cricket competition. Pyatt scored 103 not out and Wilkinson 08. However, St. Albans I svolde'd outright defeat with some ease, largely because of a fine opening partnership of 75 between J. Stead and A. Maiins. In another meeting of teams from the same club, J. Dickinson took six for 54 for Western I. the most successful return of the dsy. Points at the end of the first round are:— Technical 33. St. Albans II 32, St. Albans I 28, Mai Ma 17. Western I 13, Western II 3. Technical 50 and 57/2 IP. Moore 20 not out) beat Mai Moa 47 and 51, outright. Western I 173/1 dec. and 71/1 (L. Drummond 20 not out, J. Dickinson 23) beat Western I! 100 (S. McCaw 39: Dickinson 6/54) and >l/5 (J. Olson 40, McCaw 23), on ths drat innings. St. Albans II 228/8 dec. (K. Pyatt 103 not out. K. Wilkinson 98: P. Blackler 2/57. J. Watson 2/78) beat St. Albans I lit and 107/8 (J. Stead 47. not out, A. Maiins 43; Pyatt 2/44, M. Alabaster 2/22), on the Brst innings.
