The Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby, is due in Christchurch on Christmas Eve. Bishop Ashby is returning from the fourth and final session of the Second Vatican Council. Mr W. Hay has been appointed managing director at tthe State Advances Corporation of New Zealand from January 1. 1966. Mr G. W. HopHnaon has been appointed deputy managing director from the same date. The Nev Zealand Society of Accountants has granted Mr D. G. Rhodes, of Christchurch, and Mr C. R- Joyce, of Timaru, a transfer of status to associate public accountant
