£100 GIVEN TO C.O.R.S.O.

Firm’s Changed Policy

The changed policy of B.P. (New Zealand), Ltd., at Christmas time could save 100 Asian children from dying of starvation, said C.0.R.5.0.'s national secretary (the Rev. H. C. Dixon) acknowledging a gift from the firm of £lOO. In a letter to C.0.R.5.0. conveying Christmas greet(Mr L. G. Hucks) wrote: “You will be interested to know that it is now my company’s policy to select each December a limited number of worthy causes to which to contribute financially in lieu of our customary expenditure in other directions at Christmas time. “Conscious of the fine work your organisation has been doing over the years, I am sending you attached hereto our cheque for £lOO as some small assistance in the furtherance of your aims.’’ Mr Dixon said the company’s gift would enable C.0.R.5.0. to send a further ton of New Zealand milk powder overseas, and this would ensure that 100 under nourished children would get a drink of milk every day for a year.
