TROTTING Smart Lass May Win Again At Hutt Park
Smart Lass, a runaway winner in the Roydon Handicap on Monday, should win again in the Wanganui Handicap at Hutt Park Raceway tonight.
This is the main race and first leg of the double on the second night of the Wanganui Trotting Club’s annual meeting. Smart Lass has drawn favourably at No. 1 at the barrier and she should be capable of maintaining a prominent position all the way. Lonesome Valley might do better over the 12 furlongs in this race than he did when third on the first night of the meeting and he should be the hardest for Smart Lass to beat Scotch Song, Morano Star, Viking Water and Wee Herb appeal most of the others. Tamoure, Calm’ Autumn and Nlmbo form a likely trio in the second leg, the Eastbrook Handtenp, whteb has been robbed of cooatderaWe tatarest as a result of tbs irmMiiri of Cardinal HanFine weather is forecast and the track wtl bo fast • Selections:— ¥ M.
