Holiday Deliveries Subscribers to *The Press” who intend to be away from their homes during the Christmas and New Year holiday periods are asked to notify “The Press” office immediately by telephoning 69-799 and asking for the delivery department for any alteration they require in the delivery of their newspapers. A list of agents appears on page 25. f Freak Reception Police in Auckland and Timaru exchanged greetings by radio-telephone during freak reception conditions at noon yesterday. Australian Visitors Fifty delegates from Australia will be visiting New Zealand from April 23 to May 15 next year to attend the 50th anniversary celebrations of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association. Army Pilots Two Army lieutenants will receive their wings on Thursday when they graduate from the No. 3 Army Air Course at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station, Wigram. They are Second Lieutenant M. A. Howey and Lieutenant P. Williams. The two men will receive their brevets from the commander of the Southern Military District (Brigadier T. C. Campbell). Both officers have been undergoing flying training at the station since April. Parking Space The third deck in the Lichfield street parking building will be available to motorists some time today, not next week as reported in “The Press” yesterday. The City Engineer (Mr P. G. Scoular) said the actual opening time would depend on when one or two small jobs were cleaned up.
