THIRD DECK SOON
Lichfield Street Car Park
A third deck would probably be available to motorists in the Lichfield street parking building next week, said Mr D. Ogilvie, chairman of the Lichfield street Park Action Committee, yesterday. The committee raised the procurement fee which enabled the City Council to raise a private loan for the multistorey building in 1962. Mr OgilVie said that a fourth deck was likely to be in use early in February. Work was now being done to the level of the eighth deck, which meant that there would always be four decks safely separating parked cars and users of the park from the scene of construction.
