False Impression
Visitors to Byrd Station, Antarctica, when being shown over the modern undersnow base sometimes enter a room in which are to be seen growing an assortment of green leaves and flowers. They are housed in a large glass cabinet over which hangs an array of lamps. Now the deception has been exposed. It appears the leaves and the flowers are made of plastic.
