Council Taking Over Areas
Told by the Ministry of Works that landscaping of the main pedestrian courts and the No. 1 car park at the Bishopcale shopping centre had been completed, the Waimairi County Council agreed to take over maintenance of the planted areas. The chairman (Mr O. C. Mitchell) said that the council would build public lavatories next to the community hall at Bishopdale. The project was referred to the finance committee.
