Exhibits At Fairs In Four Countries
(New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Nov. 25.
The Government would sponsor New Zealand exhibits at trade fairs in four countries next year, the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) said tonight. Fairs at Bangkok, Rome, Paris and Stockholm had been chosen.
The first Asian trade fair would be held in Bangkok next November. “This will be a first-class opportunity for New Zealand to show a wide range of goods to buyers from Asia,” said Mr Marshall.
“As regional members of E.C.A.F.E. we have a special interest in supporting this fair.”
Mr Marshall said participation in three fairs in Europe would again concentrate on meat promotion, and exhibitors would have the “active support” of the Meat Board. Encouragement would also be given to manufacturers to participate. “Not only have we made a beginning in finding markets for New Zealand manufactured goods in Europe—but the growing extent of participation by manufacturers helps to convey a better picture of NCw Zealand to the Continental visitor to the stand,” he said.
