FINANCE FOR FARMERS
Investigation Ry Committee (N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 25.
A committee to co-ordinate rural finance policies and to discuss problems submitted to the Agricultural Production Council by district advisory committees has been set up. The committee has already been asked to clarify with the Government to what extent limitations on bank advances affected dairy companies and advances to farmers for seasonal and development purposes. Comprising representatives of trading banks, stock and station agents, life offices, the State Advances Corporation, the Marginal Lands Board, the Treasury and the Department of Agriculture, the committee will function as part of the council’s executive committee.
