WELLINGTON, Nov. 22.
A White Paper on defence is expected to be issued by the Government early next year. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today the Cabinet defence committee was already dealing with a draft defence review of New Zealand’s commitments and programme for the next five years.
Mr Holyoake said the review reassessed the threat to New Zealand, reassessed New Zealand’s obligations and reassessed the shape of New Zealand's forces.
