Tighter Check On Pillaging
(N.Z. Press Association* WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. Security at New Zealand’s ports and airports will be tightened up to give more effective protection against pillaging, smuggling and the movements of criminals. The Commissioner of Police (Mr C. L. Spencer) said today that port security was one of the topics covered at last week’s senior officers’ conference in Wellington when it had been decided that national reorganisation was required.
