New Staff Member
The National Council of Churches in New Zealand has announced the appointment of Mr F. G. Heard to its staff. Mr Heard will be responsible to the Executive Committee, through the general secretary, for Inter-
Church Aid, and for strengthening the participation of the laity in the work of the church. Mr Heard was born tn England and served 20 years in the West Yorkshire Regiment. After early retirement in 1958, Mr Heard came to New Zealand and for six years was assistant master at Medbury School. Christchurch. For the last year he has been parish assistant in the Anglican Parish of St. Barnabas'. Fendalton. He has visited many countries in Europe, Africa, and the Near East. He is married with three sons. He will take up his appointment on February 1.
