TRANSPORT BUILDING
Objections Withdrawn
Since the Christchurch Transport Board had adjusted the height of its proposed new building in Cathedral square to suit the Christchurch City Council, other objectors had withdrawn their objections, said Mr J. F. Fardell, the board’s general manager. One of the objectors, the Ministry of Works, was still considering the amended design. The board's application to depart from the city’s 65 degree light angle and 102 ft maximum height requirements will be considered by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board on December 6.
