Art Gallery Gifts
Gifts of water colours and books to the Robert McDougall Art Gallery were acknowledged by the City Council on Monday evening. One of the water colours was “The Ghost of a Heinkel.” by Paul Nash (1889-1946), sent from Britain by Miss Maureen Raymond; the other was “Little River in 1883." by Thomas Cane (1830-1905), given to the gallery by Miss Dorothy Williams, of Fendalton.
The books, two large volumes, “The National Gallery,” with 100 plates in colour, were published in London in 1909 and given to the gallery by Miss M. D. Acland, of Fendalton.
