New Jumping Pit
A second jumping pit will be added by the Canterbury Athletics Centre on its ground at Rugby Park, at an estimated cost of about f3OO. The pit will comprise bags of chips packed in square sacks, which fit together exactly. It is hoped the new pit will be used for inter-club competition before Christmas. Open Meeting.—The New Brighton Amateur Athletics Association Club will hold an open meeting on Wednesday Postal entries have opened for both track and field events.
