ORDINATION OF FIJIAN
Bishop Ashby To Attend The Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby will take a brief respite from the Vatican Council in Rome to attend the ordination of a Fijian priest in London. He is Beato Ratu loco, son of a chief on the Fijian Island of Vanua Levu. He was ordained as a priest at Westminster Cathedral, London, on Sunday. Beato Ratuloco began his studies for the secular priesthood at Riccarton, Christchurch, in 1957. Three years later he went to the seminary at Mosgiel.
