University Searched
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) VICTORIA FALLS, Nov. 21. In Salisbury, detectives searched the multi-racial University College of Rhodesia on Friday night and yesterday.
A member of the staff said they were looking for a document, said to be circulating among the staff, reaffirming loyalty to the Queen through the Governor, Sir Humphrey Gibbs.
The police refused to confirm or deny the search. Mr Smith has withdrawn recognition of the Britishappointed Governor and named Mr Clifford Dupont, former Deputy Premier, to take over Sir Humphrey Gibbs’s duties.
Two bomb explosions were reported in Bulawayo, Rhodesia’s second largest city and a traditional trouble spot.
