Mansfield Exhibits

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The Alexander Turnbull Library has received a request from the New Zealand Ambassador to France (Mr R. Hutchens) for an exhibition of Katherine Mansfield materials from the library’s extensive holdings. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath) today. He said Miss Mansfield was “highly-esteemed” in France. It was anticipated the exhibition would help to draw attention to New Zealand and display jan aspect of New Zealand’s cultural life too seldom appreciated in Europe.

After the exhibition’s Paris display, it would probably go to London and the United States.
