Under 21 Team To Tour In Aust.
A Canterbury cricket team of players under 21 years will tour country areas of New South Wales in January.
sociation area will be eligible for selection and the team will include at least one player from each of the minor associations. The team, like last year’s touring Emu Club side, will meet their travelling costs. The players are expected to be named on December 13 or 14.
It will return the visit made to Christchurch and Canterbury Minor Associations last season by the Emu Club colts side from Northern New South Wales. The Canterbury team will probably consist of 12 players and a manager, and will be in Australia for about three weeks. At the moment, it is scheduled to leave on January 9 and return on January 27.
