Victims Named
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, Oct. 19. The police today released the names of the seven persons involved in a motor accident near Raetihi on Sunday. The man killed was Jack Arthur Fowler, aged 59, of 55 Churchill street, Goulburn, New South Wales. In Wanganui Hospital are his wife and daughter, Mrs Beryl May Fowler, aged 51, and Marilyn Fowler, aged 17. Their condition was reported to be comfortable. Mr Fowler’s son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren were admitted to the Waimarino Hospital but were expected to be discharged this afternoon. They are Arthur Graham Fowler, aged 24, Janet Marie Fowler, and their children, Dorothy Anne, aged 2J, and Peter Anthony, nine months. Arthur Fowler is an officer at the Wi Tako Prison, and lives at 12 Pinehill crescent, Trentham Camp. His parents were making a brief visit to New Zealand.
Suspect Held.—The Paris police have arrested a man in connexion with the murder of three prostitutes found strangled in hotel rooms in the last week.
