(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Oct. 18.
The teach-in on Vietnam planned for October 31 at the Wellington Town Hall Concert Chamber had been cancelled, laid the secretary of the Wellington Workers’ Education (Miss J. M. Cameron) today.
“Our aim was to provide an informed and balanced platform on which all points of vietf would be represented,”- said Miss Cameron. “UnfoHunately, the Government, and some other bodies declined our invitation to speak., at the teach-in and as an impartial educational body we’have no alternative but to cancel it. “The executive committee is very disappointed, as we had hoped to provide the sort of discussion which a healthy democracy, needs if it is to survive,” said Miss Cameron.
